Buff Paladin is a Hearthstone deck that greedily makes use of all the tasty new Gadgetzan buff cards to build a devastating hand of empowered minions. Once boosted in this way, they can then be used to both control the board and begin the process of slamming damage into the opponent's health pool.
In our Buff Paladin deck guide, we've got a deck list which we think should provide you with a pretty solid starting point, although we encourage you to experiment with the format as much as possible. Right after that we've got a few tips for Mulliganing your starting hand correctly, before looking at all of the critical combos you need to be thinking about at each stage of the match.
We've also embedded a video from Trump, who was one of the first to undertake some serious science into making this new archetype work. Although our latest deck list will differ from the one he uses, take a little bit of time out to watch the whole thing, as you'll learn a great deal about how to actually pilot this kind of deck through any given match.
Editor's note - March 2017 update: No changes for Buff Paladin in the month of March. It's pretty much a bottom-tier deck in the current metagame, so we're not surprised to see a lack of experimentation with the archetype. This may well be the deck's last month of any relevance at all as we approach the release of Journey to Un'Goro.

Buff Paladin (Standard) deck list and strategy - March 2017
Editor's note - February Update: No changes for our recommended Buff Paladin deck list for Season 35. It's not enjoying a great deal of competitive play right now, and so there's been little in the way of refinement and experimentation by the most talented players. It's all been a bit flat for the Grimy Goons so far really - a pity.

Buff Paladin (Standard) Mulligan guide - March 2017
Smuggler's Run and Grimestreet Outfitter are always going to make your subsequent plays stronger, so it's hard to make a case for tossing them back. If you get either of those you just need to think about your curve from there on out.
Good minions to boost up include Worgen Infiltrator, Flame Juggler and Acolyte of Pain. Argent Lance will also help you keep control against aggro and is another fine keep.

Buff Paladin (Standard) tips, combos and synergies - March 2017
This is a pure value deck, and so it's important that you spend as much time as you need on brushing up on how these cards combo with one another.
Here are the basic card interactions that you need to be aware of.
The follow cards can all - at various stages of the game - be used to enhance the stat strength of one or all of the other minions in your hand: Smuggler's Run, Grimestreet Outfitter, Grimestreet Enforcer, Don Han'Cho.
- Aldor Peacekeeper has interesting synergy with Acolyte of Pain, as it can be used to turn a chunky enemy minion into something the Acolyte can keep chipping away at for extra card draw.
- Always keep in mind the potential that your buff minions and spells might have on Argent Horserider. This can be used to provide a quick - and unexpected - answer for a problematic enemy minion.
